How to configure Outlook 2010?

1. Open Outlook, click 'File'.
Select 'Info' from the drop down menu.
Click 'Account Settings'.
Select the 'Add and remove accounts' option from the drop down menu.

 

 

2. Under the Email tab, click 'New'.




3. Select 'Manually configure server settings or additional server types' then click 'Next'.


 


4. select 'Internet Email' option and click 'Next'.




 

5. Complete the Settings information as below:
User Information
Your Name: Enter the name you wish recipients to see when they receive your message.
Email Address: Enter your full email address, e.g.: sample@sample.com

Server Information
Account Type: POP3
Incoming mail server: pop.chengmail.cn
Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.chengmail.cn 

Logon Information
User Name: Enter your full email address, e.g.: sample@sample.com
Password: Your email login password, if you ever change it, please update in here timely.
Select ‘Remember Password
And then click 'More Settings'.

 


 


6. Click on the 'Outgoing Server' tab, and select 'My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication'. Then select 'Use same settings as my incoming mail server', and then click 'OK':



Click the 'Advanced' tab, and then select ‘Leave a copy of messages on the server’, and DO NOT select ‘Remove from server after xx days’, and then click 'OK':



System will then go back to 'Internet E-mail Settings(POP3)' window, click 'Next' to finish setting.

*Some Internet Service Providers (ISP) may block the SMTP port 25 and this will cause your outlook setting not working (you will not be able to send out emails by using outlook).

To solve this, please go to 'Internet E-mail Settings (POP3),' click 'More Settings', and then click 'Advanced':
-Incoming server (POP3): 995
-Select ‘This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)
-Outgoing server (SMTP): 465
-Select SSL for ‘Use the following type of encrypted connection
-Select ‘Leave a copy of messages on the server
-DO NOT select ‘Remove from server after xx days



And then click 'OK' to finish.
